When creating a server profile and using HPE OneView API, the HostNVMeQualifiedNameType attribute may not be required or added to the POST request for earlier HPE OneView versions. In addition, when this attribute is not included in the API call, the value will default to "AutoGenerated."The OneView API server profile attribute, HostNVMeQualifiedNameType is not mandatory when creating a server profile, but future API update calls invoked from external applications to the server profile can cause failures. Even though the process is made through the OneView User Interface, the use of the external tools and applications can cause this issue.Any attempt to perform a profile update via API will fail if the HostNVMeQualifiedNameType and HostNVMeQualifiedName are not included in a server profile update request. When the attributes are not included, the following errors may be found in the server profile update API task:"message": "The hostNVMeQualifiedNameType must be specified." "recommendedActions": ["Specify \"AutoGenerated\" to generate a new hostNVMeQualifiedName, or \"UserDefined\" to use you own.""message": "The hostNVMeQualifiedNameType is \"AutoGenerated\" but the hostNVMeQualifiedName, null does not match what is already on the profile." "recommendedActions": "To change the hostNVMeQualifiedName please specify \"UserDefined\" for the hostNVMeQualifiedNameType, to continue using \"AutoGenerated\" update the hostNVMeQualifiedName to match what's on the profile."
Any HPE OneView later than version 8.40 when updating a server profile using API.
