The Server Remove action may sometimes fail to remove server hardware from an HPE OneView appliance and will display the following error:This issue is seen specifically with HPE Gen12 rack servers with HPE Integrated Lights-Out 7 (iLO 7) Firmware 1.11 being managed by HPE OneView 9.40.
Any HPE Gen12 rack servers with HPE Integrated Lights-Out 7 (iLO 7) Version 1.11 that are managed by HPE OneView 9.40.
This issue is resolved by updating toHPE Integrated Lights-Out 7 (iLO 7) firmware version 1.12.00(or later).As a workaround, use the "Force Remove" option in HPE OneView to remove the server from OneView.However, a force remove will not automatically reset the iLO configurations made by OneView when the server was added.
