Description

Summary

On HPE servers configured with the Intel Virtual RAID on CPU (Intel VROC) enabled, support is limited for Ubuntu Server 24.04 or 24.04.1.When using Intel VROC with Ubuntu Server 24.04 or 24.04.1, the server may stop responding during shutdown or reboot.

Scope

Any HPE server using Intel VROC for Ubuntu 24.04 or 24.04.1.

Resolution

HPE does not recommend using Intel VROC for Ubuntu Server 24.04 or 24.04.1 until it is fully supported, in order to avoid system unresponsiveness during shut down or reboot.This advisory will be updated when additional information is available.
