The following alert may be displayed in the in the HPE Integrated Lights-Out 6 (iLO 6) or iLO 7 -> Information -> Security Log UI after a server with an iLO 6 or iLO 7 boots:SPDM device at location PCI-E Slot X could not bHPE Integrated Lights-Out 6 (iLO 6)e authenticated (reason SPDM GET_VERSION Unsupported)OrSPDM device at location OCP 3.0 Slot X could not be authenticated (reason SPDM GET_VERSION Unsupported)These iLO security events can be safely ignored as the functionality of the device is not affected.
Any HPE system with iLO 6 or iLO 7 except the HPE ProLiant RL3xx Gen11 systems that do not support Security Protocol and Data Model (SPDM).This has been observed on the Intel E810‑XXVDA2 Ethernet 10/25Gb 2‑port SFP28 OCP3 adapter however, this may occur with any device that does not support the SPDM specification v1.0, v1.0.1, v1.1 or v1.2.
Ignore the iLO security events as they do not affect the functionality of the device.This security event is logged by iLO for any device that does not support the SPDM specification v1.0, v1.0.1, v1.1 or v1.2 that iLO 6 supports.
