In some cases, the PCIe link speed between the Intel third generation scalable processor and the HPE Smart RAID SR Gen10 AROC storage controller may be degraded. The link speed is at 5 GT/s (Gen2) when it should be at 8 GT/s (Gen3).
This issue has been reported on the following HPE systems:HPE Apollo 4200 Gen10 Plus SystemHPE ProLiant DL360 Gen10 Plus ServerHPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 Plus ServerOnly the following HPE Smart Array SR controllers are affected:HPE Smart Array E208i-a ControllerHPE Smart Array P408i-a ControllerHPE Smart Array P816i-a ControllerNOTE: Only AROC form factor options are affected. This issue has not been reported on MegaRAID controllers or PCIe form factor options.
Update the Server ROM to version 2.22 to resolve this issue.To download the System ROM (BIOS) required version (or later), perform the following steps:Click the following link:Hewlett Packard Enterprise Support Center.Enter a product name (e.g. DL360 Gen10 Plus) in the text search field and wait for a list of Suggested Products to display. From the Suggested Products list displayed, identify the desired product and select it.The page should refresh to display the "DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE" tab and the components that support the selected product.
