Info
On any HPE ProLiant DL325/DL345 Gen11 platform configured with a Broadcom BCM5719 Ethernet 1Gb 4-port BASE-T OCP3 Adapter for HPE (P51181-B21); HPE iLO cannot get the IP address and cannot be accessed via the network when the shared network port is enabled on the slot of the HPE Broadcom-based network adapter.
The Network Controller Sideband Interface (NC-SI) arbitration algorithm resides in the firmware combo image version 20.25.42 (or prior) of the Broadcom BCM5719 Ethernet 1Gb 4-port BASE-T OCP3 Adapter for HPE, which is not compatible with the Network Controller Sideband Interface (NC-SI) related circuit design of HPE DL325/DL345 Gen11 platforms; this results in the network adapter not responding to the Network Controller Sideband Interface (NC-SI) commands sent from HPE iLO.
Since HPE iLO cannot receive the Network Controller Sideband Interface (NC-SI) response from the network adapter, the HPE iLO network is not configured correctly and becomes inaccessible.
