On HPE Servers with AMD EPYC 3rd Gen Processors and TPM installed, an unexpected reboot of the server may occur, which will halt during POST with the following error: Internal processor error occurred - primary processor is unable to boot Error in the Integrated Management Log (IML): Critical,392,384,0x0005,CPU,0x0005,Hardware,03/28/2022 05:12:39,602: Internal processor error occurred - primary processor is unable to boot. System halted. ACTION: Re-seat the processors. If the issue still persists contact support.
Any HPE ProLiant DL385/ProLiant DL325 Gen10 Plus v2 or ProLiant DL365/ProLiant DL345/ProLiant XL225n/ProLiant XL645 or ProLiant XL675 Gen10 Plus systems with EPYC 3rd gen processors and TPM installed.
Upgrade the System ROM to version 2.64 or greater. Click the following link: Hewlett Packard Enterprise Support Center Click the "Sign in" icon located in the top-right side of the web page, and click the option "Sign in". Sign in to HPE Support Center (HPESC): For HPE authorized Service Providers: Enter the HPE Passport. For HPE Employees or Contractors: Click the "HPE employee sign in" hyperlink. Enter a product name (e.g., "ProLiant DL385 Gen10") in the text search field and wait for a list of Suggested Products to display. From the Suggested Products list displayed, identify the desired product and select it. The page should refresh to display the "DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE" tab and the components that support the selected product. Select the "BIOS" button sub-category. Locate and select the Firmware Version 2.64 (or later). Note: To ensure that you have selected the latest version of the firmware/driver, click the Revision History tab to check if a new version of the firmware/driver is available. For more important information, review the Release Notes tab. Click the Download button.
