While replacing a Synergy Interconnect Connect Module (ICM), HPE OneView may display the following locked firmware alert:"The logical interconnect contains interconnects with different firmware versions."This alert message will occur because the firmware of the ICM that is replaced does not match the firmware of the other ICM pair. This is a normal and an expected alert message. After the replacement module's firmware has been updated to match the existing ICM firmware version, the alert should automatically be cleared. However, if these alerts occur while running any of the HPE OneView versions outlined in the Scope section, the alert will not clear automatically.
When an HPE Synergy 40Gb F8 Switch Module or HPE Virtual Connect SE 100Gb F32 Module for Synergy is replaced in an Interconnect Connect Module (ICM) running on the following versions:HPE OneView 7.20 or laterHPE OneView 6.60.01 or later
This is resolved by updating toHPE OneView 8.20(or later). As a workaround, manually clear the locked alert by using REST API. In cases where the locked alerts are not automatically cleared, even though the issue is resolved, the locked alert is cleared using the command, REST API PUT /rest/alerts/{id}?force=true.Refer to the user guide,HPE OneView 8.0 User Guide for VMsfor information on clearing this type of alert.
