On any HPE platform configured with an HPE 12Gb SAS Expander Card listed in the Scope section below, the HPE 12G SAS Expander Card prior to version 5.12 does not have proper downgrade restrictions for the new flash used in the Expander card.When attempting to downgrade the Expander firmware from 5.12 to prior versions, a warning message will appear, the firmware will not flash and therefore will not be installed.NOTE: A similar message will be displayed if SPP/SUM is used to flash the firmware.SetupOnline ROM Flash Component for Windows (x64) - HPE 12Gb/s SAS Expander Firmware for HPE Smart Array Controllers and Software Version: 5.10The installation process has completed. Please review information about the install process below:The installation procedure did not complete successfully. Upgrade the HPE 12G SAS Expander firmware to version 5.12 or later.
