Data integrity is not at risk, but availability could be impacted.

This issue is resolved in firmware version IN110P001.WorkaroundThis issue is rare and requires an HPE MSA 1060/2060/2062 array to be running I/O where it is required to Abort an I/O on a Hardware Accelerated Init (Write Same) request. Systems already experiencing performance issues are more susceptible to the Abort condition. Many performance issues are caused by not following best practices or by being undersized for the required I/O load.If you have VMware 7.0 or earlier with Hardware Accelerated Init (Write Same) enabled, and the I/O response appears to be unresponsive or extremely slow, restarting the volume owning controller will clear the condition. From the CLI, enter#restart sc <controller>to clear the condition. Note that data access and integrity will not be affected with a single controller restart. To decrease risk of this issue occurring, HPE recommends the following:Disable Hardware Accelerated Init (Write Same) from VMware. This setting has shown to have little effect on system performance.Follow best practice for configuration and performance statistics of Disk Groups, Pool Configuration, host I/O timeouts, and MPIO settings.Review Array configuration and performance statistics for the ability to handle the I/O load requested.RECEIVE PROACTIVE UPDATES: Receive support alerts (such as Customer Advisories), as well as updates on drivers, software, firmware, and customer replaceable components, proactively in your e-mail through HPE Support Alerts.
