HPE 5940 Switch Firmware version "5940_7.10.R2612P01" is available. This release includes the important fix mentioned below: Modified the vLAN check function when a MAC address is set for a Layer 3 Ethernet interface or vLAN interface. Before modification: The system checks whether the newly set MAC address belongs to the same vLAN as an existing entry and issues different entries for the same MAC address and different vLANs. After modification: The system does not check whether the newly set MAC address belongs to the same vLAN as an existing entry and issues only one entry for one MAC address. Due to this change, the 5940 configuration needs a change to move the solution management IP address from the interface to a vLAN. Steps to move solution management IP address from the interface to vLAN:- Connect a serial cable to console port of switch and log into switch using a terminal emulator <snetsw>system-view #interface M-GigabitEthernet 0/0/0 #undo ip address <Solution Management IP Address> <Solution Management Subnet Mask> #Quit #interface vlan <Network Switches Solution Management VLAN ID> #ip address <Solution Management IP Address> <Solution Management Subnet Mask> #quit <snetsw>save The current configuration will be written to the device. Are you sure?
