An issue has been identified with HPE StoreOnce Systems after upgrading to HPE StoreOnce software version 3.16.3. NAS NFS mount variable was added to HPE StoreOnce software version 3.16.3 for RDirPlus. This variable prevents access to the items on the share presented to VMware 6 server using vSphere Data Protection.
This issue affects the following HPE StoreOnce Systems running HPE StoreOnce software version 3.16.3 and later or 3.18.4 and earlier: BB877A HPE StoreOnce 2700 Backup BB910A HPE StoreOnce 2900 Backup BB913A HPE StoreOnce 3100 System BB922A HPE StoreOnce 3520 System BB914A HPE StoreOnce 3540 System BB878A HPE StoreOnce 4500 Backup BB879A HPE StoreOnce 4700 Backup BB903A HPE StoreOnce 4900 Backup BB915A HPE StoreOnce 5100 System BB915B HPE StoreOnce 5100 HIT System BB917A HPE StoreOnce 5500 System BB896A HPE StoreOnce 6500 Backup BB918A HPE StoreOnce 6600 System BB918B HPE StoreOnce 6600 HIT System
The following steps are required to resolve this issue: Upgrade the HPE StoreOnce system to HPE StoreOnce software version 3.18.5. After the software update is complete, go to each NFS share presented to VMware 6 on the permissions tab, there is a new checkbox for RDirPlus . Select Edit and check the box. Press update to exit edit mode. In the StoreOnce CLI, run serviceset stop all and when service sets are fully stopped, issue system reboot. NOTE: Products sold prior to the November 1, 2015 separation of Hewlett-Packard Company into Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company and HP Inc. may have older product names and model numbers that differ from current models.
