On HPE ProLiant Gen10 servers with an HPE Gen10 Smart Array P-class controller installed and running Smart Array firmware version 1.34 (or earlier), the Integrated Management Log (IML) may display the following message following an unexpected power event and Smart Array controller cache backup:
UNKNOWN EVENT - Class [0xa] and Code [0x1800]
This is an informational message and requires no action from the end-user.
Scope
Any HPE ProLiant Gen10 server with an HPE Gen10 Smart Array P-class controller running firmware version 1.34 (or earlier) installed.
Resolution
As described above, the message requires no action from the end-user and can be safely ignored. This will be removed entirely in a future release of the Gen10 Smart Array controller firmware.
This advisory will be updated when the firmware containing the fix becomes available.
