HPE D3600 and D3700 Disk Enclosure firmware is wrapped into a Smart Component. The Smart Component assists in flashing firmware components on the target device. HPE has found an issue in the HPE D3600 and D3700 3.61 and 3.64 smart component where, if the solution is cabled with multiple HPE D3600 and D3700 enclosures and using fault-tolerance cabling, the smart component may fail to update the firmware on all HPE D3600 and D3700 I/O modules.
Scope
This advisory applies to HPE D3600 and D3700 enclosure firmware version 3.61 and 3.64 Smart Components for all operating systems.
Resolution
The smart component fix is included with HPE D3000 Disk Enclosure firmware version 4.04 or later.
