The ':p' tcpdump option, which is used to capture traffic from all the peer flows, does not work for certain kinds of flows. It will not work for HTTP/2, SIP (MRF), Diameter (MRF), SIP (MBLB), generic message, and MQTT flows. The failure is in not capturing packets from the peer flow - the packets that match the specified filter will still continue to be captured.
The ':p' option cannot be used on to capture peer traffic on these flows.
-- The ':p' option needs to be used. -- The flows being captured do not have a single peer like traditional flows - they have multiple peers.
Instead of using the ':p', the filter can be made to include the host addresses (or other details) of the multiple peers to capture traffic on them.
