Description

Symptoms

User cannot get to external sites using IE in some cases when proxy auto configuration file is configured on server

Impact

User cannot browse external sites if above conditions are met.

Conditions

Proxy auto-configuration script is specified in Network Access settings IE is used to connect to an external site whose name cannot be resolved on client machine.

Workaround

None.

Fix Information

Proxy auto configuration now works with Internet Explorer when a URL cannot be resolved on a client.
