VxRail Manager has a time skew with the NTP server.
After rebooting the VxRail Manager, the time configuration is inherited from the hardware clock. If a time skew exists between system time and the NTP server greater than 30 minutes, no NTP updates are applied.
To check current ntp: cat /etc/ntp.conf To resolve the time skew: Set the system time using the ntp server on the VxRail Manager using the root user: ntpdate -u <sever IP> Note: Run this command multiple times, until the time offset is less than one second. Compare the time on the hardware clock and system time to see if they match: hwclock date Set the hardware clock to the same time as the system clock using the command: hwclock -w or hwclock --systohc Confirm that the hardware clock is correct by comparing the hardware clock to the system time. Reboot the VxRail Manager VM and verify the hardware and system clock are still synced.
