Customers may encounter the following warning alert in Dell Automation Platform Orchestrator environments when a PowerStore is onboarded: Alert Code: 0x015610001 Severity: Warning Message: "License Device Category EDGE_HZP_DEVICE_CAT0 with total quantity of 1 is exhausted with total device count of 0" This issue affects all Dell Automated Platform versions including 2.0
This issue occurs when storage onboarding (PowerStore devices) incorrectly attempts to send onboarding messages through the license consumption NATS channel. The system is unable to determine the correct license category for the storage device and defaults to EDGE_HZP_DEVICE_CAT0 , which is a fallback or catch-all license category used when the device type cannot be properly identified.
This is a benign issue - This issue does not cause functional problems or service disruption. Impact Customers see warning alerts in their monitoring systems No license exhaustion or functional limitations No impact on DAP operations or storage functionality Alert noise may cause concern but does not indicate a real licensing problem This issue is scheduled to be resolved in Dell Automation Platform 2.1.
