If a system is affected, the following may be observed: NIC not appearing in UEFI pre‑boot menus The NIC UEFI driver failing to load under Secure Boot Boot warnings or stop related to Option ROM signature validation Events or logs showing driver signature not trusted NIC availability changing between boots on older platforms These symptoms will not appear on 17G systems, which already validate CA 2023.
This behavior occurs because NVIDIA has transitioned its UEFI driver signing certificate from: Microsoft UEFI CA 2011 to Microsoft UEFI CA 2023 Earlier PowerEdge platforms may not yet include CA 2023 in their secure‑boot trust database unless the December 2025 BIOS update has been applied. In these cases, the system continues to trust only CA 2011 and rejects the newer NVIDIA UEFI driver under Secure Boot.
Determine the system generation. 17G: No action required; CA 2023 is trusted. 15G/16G/older: Proceed below. Check the BIOS version. Make sure the system is running the December 2025 BIOS or newer , which includes CA 2023 certificate support. 14G: 2.25.0 15G: 1.19.2 16G: 2.8.2 After updating the BIOS Reboot the system with Secure Boot enabled Confirm the NIC UEFI driver loads normally
