Indexing jobs fail for partitions that start beyond the 2 TB boundary on a disk. The following error appears in notify-worker.log Error parsing header: Invalid signature parsing header. The job details in the PPDM UI display: Volume configuration may not be supported or disk may be encrypted. File search is unavailable for data on the affected volume.
PPDM uses a 32-bit unsigned integer to calculate the physical offset of disk volumes. When a partition starts beyond the 2 TB mark, the offset exceeds the maximum value representable by a 32-bit integer, resulting in parsing failures during indexing.
Upgrade to PowerProtect Data Manager version 19.21 to resolve the issue. This version includes enhancements that support indexing of partitions with offsets beyond 2 TB.
