Your Alienware or Dell headsets volume wheel is not working correctly. Reports that the volume does not change are reported for certain headsets. Dell Engineering has identified that this is not a physical error, but a misperception due to a knowledge gap. The volume wheel is designed to work only when there is either audio playing or an open call. This was intentional as it stops the volume from being changed accidentally.
Note : The headset is working as designed under these circumstances. Ensure that there is either audio playing or is an ongoing call before using the volume wheel to change the headset volume.
