Errors similar to the following appear in the Avamar MC UI: ipmiutil: igetevent: 029b 04/16/14 04:58:44 MAJ Bios Critical Interrupt #05 PCIe Cor Sensor PCIe Warn Receiver Error (09:00.0) 71 [a0 09 00]< ipmiutil: igetevent: 029c 04/16/14 04:58:44 MAJ Bios Critical Interrupt #05 PCIe Cor Sensor PCIe Warn Receiver Error (09:00.1) 71 [a0 09 01]< Similar messages can also be seen in the /var/log/messages files on the affected data node. A Dial Home may also be sent.

Cause

There are several root causes, including a bad card or a poor connection between the card and the Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) bus (due to mis-seating or dirt).

Resolution

1. Log in to the affected node as admin and switch to root: su - 2. Confirm the error in /var/log/messages: grep MAJ /var/log/messages 3. A node transplant is likely required. Contact Dell Technical Support for further assistance.
