Bluetooth Toggle switch Inoperative after upgrade to Windows 10 Laptop users with Dell Wireless 1705 wireless option may notice that the Bluetooth toggle function is inoperative after the Windows 10 upgrade. Users were able to disable the Bluetooth device in device manager as a workaround.

Updating the latest version of the bluetooth driver will help resolve the issue. Browse to https://www.dell.com/support/drivers.Identify your Dell computer. Click Download & Install SupportAssist to auto-detect your Dell computer. Follow the on-screen instructions to install Dell SupportAssist. For more information, see the Dell knowledge base article Dell SupportAssist (formerly Dell System Detect): Overview and Common Questions.Enter the Service Tag of the laptop and click Search.Or, click Browse all products and select your Dell computer from the catalog. Select the Operating System that is installed on the Dell computer.Under Category, select Network.Locate the latest bluetooth driver.Click Download and save the file to your computer.Open File Explorer and browse to the location where the downloaded file is saved.Double-click the BIOS setup file and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process. Note: Latitude XT3, Latitude 7404 XFR , XPS 9333, L321x & L322x, Inspiron 15 5537 systems will not be able to toggle Bluetooth because there is no driver support on these models. Note: By design, Desktop/All-in-One (AIO) systems cannot use the Bluetooth toggle as the Bluetooth toggle option is only available on mobile platforms. The reason for this is that the Bluetooth toggle is dependent on the Airplane mode. Airplane Mode radio management uses the Human Interface Device (HID) process exclusive to battery powered systems.
