This would make their removal impossible without specialty tools that are not available to our onsite engineers. System Cover Removal Pre-removal instructions before removing the system cover: During installation or removals of any hardware, always ensure that all data is backed up properly. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets. Remove the single thumbscrew that secures the cover to the back of the chassis. Pull the cover towards the front of the computer until it unclips, then lift it up and away from the chassis. Hard Disk Drive Assembly Removal Pre-removal instructions before removing the hard disk drive assembly: During installation or removals of any hardware, always ensure that all data is backed up properly. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets. Remove the System Cover. Press the blue tabs on either side of the assembly towards each other [1]. Push the assembly towards the back of the computer [2] until it unlocks, then lift it out of the computer. Pull one side of the assembly away from the drive to disengage the securing pins [1] and lift the drive out of the assembly [2]. M.2 PCIe SSD Card Removal Pre-removal instructions before removing the M.2 PCIe SSD card: During installation or removals of any hardware, always ensure that all data is backed up properly. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets. Remove the System Cover, and Hard Disk Drive Assembly. Remove the single screw which secures the SSD card [1] to the motherboard. Lift the card up and remove the card from the slot [2] on the motherboard. System Fan Removal Pre-removal instructions before removing the system fan: During installation or removals of any hardware, always ensure that all data is backed up properly. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets. Remove the System Cover. Press the blue tabs on either side of the fan towards each other [1]. Lift the edge in the middle of the computer up [2] so you can lift it up. Turn the fan bracket over so you can disconnect the fan cable from the motherboard. Memory Removal Pre-removal instructions before removing the memory: During installation or removals of any hardware, always ensure that all data is backed up properly. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets. Remove the System Cover, and System Fan. Pull the metal clips on either side of the memory module away from the module [1]. When the memory pops up, pull it out of the slot [2]. Note: Repeat Step 3 for any additional memory DIMMs located in the computer. Serial and PS I/O Board Removal Pre-removal instructions before removing the serial and PS I/O board: During installation or removals of any hardware, always ensure that all data is backed up properly. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets. Remove the System Cover, and Hard Disk Drive Assembly. Disconnect the card cable from the motherboard [1] and remove the four screws which secure the board to the chassis [2, 3]. Pull the card back from the front of the chassis and lift it up and out of the computer. Coin-Cell Battery Removal Pre-removal instructions before removing the coin-cell battery: During installation or removals of any hardware, always ensure that all data is backed up properly. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets. Remove the System Cover, and Serial and PS I/O Board. Press down on the release latch until the coin cell pops out [1] and remove the coin-cell battery from the computer. Internal Speaker Removal Pre-removal instructions before removing the internal speakers: During installation or removals of any hardware, always ensure that all data is backed up properly. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets. Remove the System Cover, and System Fan. Disconnect the speaker cable from the motherboard [1] and system fan retention clips. Unscrew the two screws that secure the speaker from the system fan assembly [2] and remove the speaker [3]. WLAN Card Removal Pre-removal instructions before removing the wireless network card: During installation or removals of any hardware, always ensure that all data is backed up properly. Disconnect any telephone, network, or USB cables from the computer. Disconnect the computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets. Remove the System Cover, and Hard Disk Drive Assembly. Remove the single screw which secures the plastic tab to the card [1]. Take off the plastic clip [2] and disconnect the antenna cables from the card [3]. Then remove the card from the slot on the motherboard [4].
