CFM frames sourced from the 8000 (C8K) router can go undelivered. This causes the far-end CFM MEP peer to timeout and enable the RDI bit in its own CFM CCM frames. As a result, the local router's CFM MEP session will go down. The issue only affects some packets, but can be consistent resulting in the CFM MEP sessions "flapping".
Can occur on any C8K router that supports CFM.
There is no workaround, but disabling the ONLINE DIAG feature will reduce the chance of the router experiencing this problem.
