Symptom

When applying the following command on the WLC: wireless config vwlc-ssc key-size 2048 signature-algo sha256 password 0 with value starting with ! , the TP gets generated but it has no SSC hash or any other details. When issuing the command "show wireless management trustopoint", we see similar output to this: Trustpoint Name : Certificate Info : Not Available Private key Info : Not Available FIPS suitability : Not Applicable

Conditions

9800-CL WLC on 17.9.2 or 17.9.3 and the password contains special characters (ex: ! and *).

Workaround

Use any password which does not start with !
