* Customer reported with an issue where they weren't able to make changes to speed on their interface with via CLI or template push via vmanage.
* Customer reported with an issue where they werent able to make changes to speed on their interface with "no negotiation auto" already on the configuration. ``` (config)# interface TenGigabitEthernet0/0/1 (config-if)# speed 1000 (config-if)# commit % No modifications to commit. (config-if)# speed 100 (config-if)# commit Aborted: inconsistent value: Device refused one or more commands: speed 100 ^ % Invalid input detected at '^' marker." (config-if)# speed 10000 (config-if)# commit Aborted: inconsistent value: Device refused one or more commands: speed 10000 ^ % Invalid input detected at '^' marker." ``` * Customer previously on 17.6.2 then upgraded to 17.9.3 and still experienced the same issue.
* The workaround performed for this was to enter shell access and make the same change. * After making this change and exiting the shell access (on admin access now), we noticed that amending the speed value to 1000/10000 or negating the existing speed was also being committed without the same error being thrown (refer "Conditions"). * On further testing, we performed a reload on the box to validate if this "workaround" persists across a reboot of the cEdge; it does not. We again landed into the same scenario where we weren't able to change the speeds via admin access. * Post making the same "push" via shell access alleviated this issue.
* Currently, to change the speed values, we have to perform the same workaround and customer has to open a TAC case to get around this.
