A new Rommon has been released and systems that experiences unexpected failure condition can be upgraded. Please download 17.6(8.1r) from CCO here: https://software.cisco.com/download/home/286324472/type/282046486/release/17.6(8.1r) Specific Rommon upgrade instructions are not available for C8200, but the steps are the same as for ISR4K. Either upgrading ROMMON to 17.6(8.1r) or later; or upgrading to 17.6.8, 17.9.6, 17.12.4, 17.15.1 or later should avoid another such failure event
