Image Upgrade fails if the image download takes more than 33 minutes. In such a case the upgrade will timeout even if the user has configured a timeout greater than 33 minutes for download
If image download during software upgrade takes more than 33 minutes, the upgrade will timeout and be unsuccessful. The image, however, will most likely continue to be downloaded in the background until it succeeds/fails. This is separate from the installation failure.
User can manually download the image to upgrade via any non-install method that is supported like IOS copy CLI or xcopy RPC, and then install the image via install add file bootflash:. Furthermore the image can then be "activated" from both RPC and CLI.
Software upgrade infrastructure assumes that customer would not take more than 33 minutes to download an image to the device for software upgrade in the worst case.
