Description

Symptom

WLC fails to update AP config (name , HA, tags, etc) on CLI or GUI with error "% Error: no ap_name exists" , this happened when another unsupported AP trying to join with same name as the existing APs.

Conditions

9800 running 17.6.3 unsupported AP trying to join AP with same name as current APs on WLC

Workaround

reload AP
