Symptom

If an extended community list is being called by 2 or more route maps in the current configuration, deleting the list will not reflect properly in running config. Conditions

ext-community list referred to by two or more route maps being deleted list is removed but still showing up in show running-config

Workaround

we need to unconfigure set command first
