when setup SNMPv3 Privacy Password and adding special characters its accepting it normally as the below document mention https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/ise/3-1/admin_guide/b_ise_admin_3_1/b_ISE_admin_31_secure_wired_access.html in Table 4. Fields in the SNMP Settings Area Privacy Password however on ISE 3.1 we are getting error when we place the password as below example it only occurs because the password contains an Equal ‘=’ before a Semicolon ‘;’. ======== is valid. ;;;;;;;; is valid The ‘=’ has to occur before the ‘;’ for it the become invalid 111=111; not valid 111;111= is valid =;111111 not valid when the password not valid we are getting this error: You have entered text that appears to contain unsupported tags or markup language. Remove those characters and try again. same scenario tested on ISE 3.0,2.7 its working fine without any errors.
