Symptom

ASA HA failover triggers HTTP server restart failure and ASDM outage. On the console we observe a specific error log: "ERROR: Unable to stop HTTPS server, Restart Failed." The following command is auto-removed after the failover and error message. "http server enable"

Conditions

Applicable to ASA hardware or virtual platforms in HA configuration with active ASDM image in disk0:

Workaround

re-add "http server enable"
