The switch hangs when a flow monitor is modified. Following this error, the configuration cannot be saved using the 'copy run start' command. Follow these steps: 1) Save the current running config to bootflash, another local file system, or a USB drive. 2) Reload the switch using the 'reload ascii' command. 3) Use the copy command to transfer the configuration saved in Step 1 back to the running configuration. 4) Save the configuration using 'copy run start'.
Configuration database corruption will persist after reloading the device using 'reload' or upgrading to a fixed release. To prevent issues, the 'reload ascii' command must be used to rebuild the configuration database.
