Symptom

Issue is seen on Firepower 1140 Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) with Firepower device manager (FDM) configured Version 6.6.4 Device does not have access to Internet Manual Snort rule update (SRU) installation (from file) fails with "Unknown error occurred while updating Rule Update"

Conditions

- Firepower 1140 - FTD version 6.6.4 - Managed by FDM - Device does not access to Internet - FTD backup is taken, device is reimaged to version 6.6.1, upgraded to 6.6.4 and backup restored - after restore SRU installation from file fails

Workaround

configure access to Internet to install updates from cloud
