COS APs in Flex mode unable to accept new Clients with - AID allocation failed for slot 0 | 1 Failed to connect client to radio-0 | 1 due to error Max clients reached, not allocating AID AP logs messages similar to this: Nov 1 20:59:08 kernel: [*11/01/2021 20:59:08.8842] CLSM[AA:BB:CC:DD:EE:FF]]: Failed to allocate AID 0 max reached Nov 1 20:59:08 kernel: [*11/01/2021 20:59:08.8842] CLSM[AA:BB:CC:DD:EE:FF]]: AID allocation failed for slot 1

Conditions

AP 9130 Rejects client association request with AID allocation failed for slot 0 | 1 error msg WLC: 17.03.04 - SMU-PATCHED AP Running Image : 17.3.4.30 Product: C9130AXI-B AP In FlexConnect Mode SSID: wlan with [WPA2][PSK][AES],MAC Filtering || Local Switching || Local Assoc

Workaround

A reload on the AP clears this condition
