Mismatched auto-negotiation interface configuration between IOS-XE vs SDWAN configuration. "show running-config" for IOS always shows "no negotiation auto" for 10G SFP+ inserted in dual rate port. At the same time the "show sdwan run" shows "auto negotiation" configured on the same interface.
ASR1001-HX, C8500-12X, C8500-12X4QC 10G optics used in dual-rate ports.
SDWAN template config for 10G interfaces should have auto-negotiation disabled.
With this change the user is no longer able to configure auto-negotiation on a dual rate port when 10G SFP+ is installed. If 1G SFP is installed into the dual-rate port with auto-negotiation configured and later on a 10G SFP+ is going to be used in the same port then first the auto-negotiation configuration needs to be removed from the interface. If you upgrade to the version having the fix for CSCvy73165 from a release in which auto-negotiation was enabled on a 10G interface that includes a 10GE SFP+ module, that interface will not come up. In this situation, use the CLI to configure "no negotiation auto" for the interface after the upgrade completes.
