Symptom

AppGigabitEthernet1 interface is enabled automatically in 16.12.1 and later release. AppGigabitEthernet interface will respond to any ARP due to how internal Linux bridge is set up on the following subnet range: 10.2.x.x/16 10.3.x.x/16 10.0.x.x/16 The ARP response causes the DHCP pool starvation as DHCP server will interpret ARP responses as an indication that the offered IP address is already assigned and present in the network.

Conditions

Cat9300L switch 16.12.1 or 16.12.2 or 16.12.3 release

Workaround

1) manually shutdown AppGig interface if it is not being used conf t interface AppGigabitEthernet1/0/1 shutdown end 2) manually disable iox if it is not being used conf t no iox end
