Conditions

multiple port configuration changes from L2 to L3 mode [switchport -> no switchport] or vice versa

Workaround

1) use alternate commands to get interface counters such as these: show controller ethernet-controller port-asic statistics interface l3 show controller ethernet-controller port-asic statistics interface l2 show platform hardware fed switch ethernet-controller port-asic statistics interface l2 show platform hardware fed switch ethernet-controller port-asic statistics interface l3 show platform hardware fed switch qos queue stats interface 2) reload the device and it will make original commands functional again show interface show controllers ethernet-controller
