Symptom

GLC-TE= SFPs in N2K-C2232PP-10GE ports 9,10,24,26,28 won't be recognized. "SFP not inserted" will be displayed in the `show interface brief` for these ports. The `show interface Eth107/1/9 transceiver details` will display "transceiver is not present". If a different SFP is inserted into these ports and then the GLC-TE= is inserted these ports will keep showing the old SFP's information in the `show interface Eth107/1/9 transceiver details` and "SFP validation failed" in the `show interface brief`.

Conditions

Issue was found with N2K-C2232PP-10GE FEX and GLC-TE= SFPs. Parent switch was running NXOS version 7.3(3)N1(1). Not only 9,10,24,26,28, all the GLC-TE= SFPs in N2K-C2232PP-10GE ports may hit this issue.

Workaround

Insert the SFPs into the ports and reload the FEX.
