Symptom
In an environment where IPv4 prefixes are carried over IPv6 transport session (RFC5549), after prefixes are deleted from BGP, these are stuck in URIB Unicast (Routing Information Table).
Issue seen on:
- Nexus 7000 running 8.3(2)
- Nexus 9000 running 9.2(1)
Additional releases might also be affected.
Conditions
This occurs when next-hops for ipv4 prefix is ipv6 address
Workaround
: Upgrade to Cisco NX-OS Release 9.2(2) or later with the fix. Cisco NX-OS Release 7.0(3)I7(x) is also not impacted.
