Symptom

If the user repeatedly 'shuts' and 'no shuts' an interface (via configuration), then vlan_ma can become blocked on ifmgr for up to 60 minutes.

Conditions

This issue can only be hit if 'shut and 'no shut' are configured repeatedly on the same interface in quick succession - for instance 100 times within 2 minutes. Users are never expected to do this - therefore this issue should not be hit in a real network environment.

Workaround

Avoid configuring 'shut' then 'no shut' a large number of times in quick succession on a single interface.

Recovery

The system will recover by itself, after waiting for enough time, vlan_ma will become unblocked.
