The host objects export failed due to timeout message appears when exporting the host objects to CSV.; Error retrieving results message appears when unused objects are detected while exporting the host objects in SmartConsole.; The operation timed out. message appear when exporting the access control policy to CSV.; timeout error message appears when exporting the IPS protection to CSV.; Similar logs are seen in SmartConsole debug (according to sk112334 ) : (Inner Exception #0) CP.Infrastructure.Services.ConnectionException: The operation timed out. ---> System.TimeoutException: The request channel timed out while waiting for a reply after 00:04:59.5372267. Increase the timeout value passed to the call to Request or increase the SendTimeout value on the Binding. The time allotted to this operation may have been a portion of a longer timeout.
The export process times out because of the large number of objects/rules/IPS protections being processed. The default timeout settings in the SmartConsole configuration file are insufficient to complete the objects/rules/IPS protections export process.
