Details
When launching a published application from a RHEL VM or farm via an HTML/Web client, the expected behavior is for the application to start as a full desktop. This means that the application will open within its own desktop window, providing users with a complete desktop-like experience.
Solution
The reason behind this behavior lies in the limitations of HTML/Web clients when compared to traditional desktop clients (such as those for Windows, Linux, or macOS). HTML/Web clients do not support seamless window mode, which allows applications to integrate more seamlessly with the user's desktop environment. As a result, when launching applications via HTML/Web clients, they are rendered within their own desktop window rather than seamlessly integrated into the user's desktop environment. That's the expected behavior as web client doesn't support application publish in seamless window mode as in desktop clients (Windows/Linux/Mac).
