Symptoms
A user may observe that attempts to generate a diagnostic bundle fails for a VMware SD-WAN Edge which is VNF-capable.
Purpose
This KB article documents an issue seen when generating a Diagnostic Bundle for an Edge. The issue is being tracked under ID #94204
Cause
The Edge diagnostic bundles fail to complete because the Edge runs out of disk space. This can happen if the Edge has generated one or more cores and these cores are being sent to the /vnf/ folder and unpacked in the /vnf/ folder. When a diagnostic bundle is triggered, all the executables under the /vnf are listed in a file and added to the diagnostic bundle. Due to the unpacked cores having large number such files, the disk is filled causing the bundle to fail.
Impact / Risks
Users will be unable to generate a Diagnostic Bundle for an Edge. This will cause difficulty in troubleshooting other issues on the Edge.
