Background Microsoft Azure VMs come in predefined sizes that are either series or families and map to a specific Microsoft Azure VM Type based on common use cases. Overview VMware Horizon Cloud Service - next-gen supports additional Microsoft Azure VM Types and Sizes for Single-session Virtual Desktops and Multi-session Published Desktops and Applications. When creating Single-session or Multi-session Desktops and Apps, you can now pick from over 500 VM instances that meet your use case. Your Microsoft Azure subscription and the selected Microsoft Azure region determine the VM instances available.Note: VMware will restrict the ability to use or select specific VM instances even though they may be available in your Microsoft Azure subscription. Supported, Unsupported, and Restricted VM Instances in VMware Horizon Cloud Service - next-gen.Most Azure VM instances are supported in VMware Horizon Cloud Service - next-gen. However, this article will not list all the supported Azure VM instances, as over 500 VM instances are currently available in Microsoft Azure. VMware will restrict the ability to use or select specific VM instances deemed unacceptable to use with VMware Horizon Cloud Service - next-gen.
