Symptoms
The Workspace ONE UEM REST API for user group search fails when the groupname search parameter is used with a value containing a special character. The API returns an "HTTP 400" response with "Invalid Request" in the body.API: api/system/usergroups/search?groupname=mygroupname
Cause
The API is unable to parse special characters in plain-text or URL encoded form.
Impact / Risks
User Group search operations using this API will fail for groups with special characters in their names.
The AirWatch Provisioning Adapter in Workspace ONE Access will fail to provision user groups to Workspace ONE UEM, if their name contains special characters. The status for such groups is shown as "Error not provisioned."
Resolution
Our Product team has been notified and is actively working to resolve this issue.
