Symptoms
You recieve the following error message when connecting to a Horizon Virtual Desktop
"The desktop sources for this desktop are not responding. Please try connecting to the desktop again later, or contact your system administrator".
In the desktop pool use linked-clone and "Refresh OS disk after logoff" is set to "Always". The max number of machines in the pool setting is less than the actual user number.In the connection server log, the following message is displayed:

Please try again later., User Message: The desktop sources for this desktop are not responding. Please try connecting to this desktop again later, or contact your system administrator.
Purpose
This article is documented to describe the message "The desktop sources for this desktop are not responding. Please try connecting to the desktop again later, or contact your system administrator" when the users is larger than desktop numbers in the pool.
Resolution
The message "The desktop sources for this desktop are not responding. Please try connecting to the desktop again later, or contact your system administrator" is valid as per the design of Horizon View.When the amount of users is larger than the desktop numbers in the pool, it means "All desktops are currently used. Please wait for the desktop to be available."
Workaround
Adjust "Max number of machines" in the desktop pool sizing setting to the actual number of users.
