While installing CIP package, as soon as you click on the installable link you see pop up shown "Client Integration Plugin and Plugin-service will be installed in succession"
The latest CIP will not work alone without VMware Plugin-service.
Currently, there is no resolution.
To work around this issue install both CIP and VMware Plugin-service.Note: Follow the below steps after uninstalling existing CIP on the client system.Install 6.0u3g Client Integration Plug-In on Windows: Download the CIP Installer VMware-ClientIntegrationPlugin-6.0.0-9100244.exe.Double-click the installer file.Installer file will install VMware Client Integration Plugin and VMware Plugin service. Install 6.0u3g Client Integration Plug-In on Mac: Download the CIP installer VMware-ClientIntegrationPlugin-6.0.0-9100244.mac64.dmg.Install the packages VMware Client Integration Plug-in 60.pkg and VMware Client Integration Service.pkg. To Uninstall on both Windows/Mac Uninstall VMware Client Integration Plugin 6.0Uninstall VMware Plug-in Service.
