Symptoms
The ESXi host fail with a purple diagnostic screen.In the /var/run/log/vmkernel.* file, you see the entries similar to:

Cause
An ESXi host might fail with an error PF Exception 14 in world Res6Affinity IP due to a race condition between resource allocations and VMFS6 volume closing operation.
Resolution

Workaround
As a workaround1. Create a VMFS 5 datastore2. Storage vMotion the VMs from VMFS6 to VMFS5 datastore.
